Teacher Workshop

In the past, Ames Laboratory hosted a workshop prior to the car competition for coaches, assistant coaches, administrators, teachers and/or parent helpers of the 16 competing teams to provide assistance with the car assembly. This year's solar car is a less complex process and will not require a pre-competition workshop. However, time will be set aside to discuss solar power (speaker is tentative), prepare and tweak cars Friday prior to the competition.

Teams will receive two kits: a teacher kit (to use as a prototype), and a student kit for the team to assemble.

Bob Mills and the rest of the Science Bowl staff will continue to be a resource for coaches throughout the car building and academic preparation process. Please continue to direct your questions to our office.
