AERIAL VIEW OF AMES LAB

Located in the heart of central Iowa, Ames Laboratory facilities occupy about 10 acres of land on the north edge of the Iowa State University campus in Ames, Iowa. Federally-owned facilities include: three research laboratory buildings -- Spedding Hall (A), Metals Development (B) and Wilhelm Hall (C); the Technical and Administrative Services Facility (D); a receiving warehouse; maintenance shops and a construction storage building. The Laboratory also rents research space in several ISU buildings.
