She is a Past Chair of IFT Toxicologicy & Safety Evaluation Division and is the IFT Scientific Communicator for phytoestrogens. She was also an invited speaker at Gordon Research Conference, "Mycotoxins and Phycotoxins," in July, 1993. Her presentation was titled: "Can fumonisins be detoxified?"
