Accessing the Ames Laboratory Network Remotely

Utilizing Ames Laboratory network resources remotely requires that some form of authentication take place and that some form of encryption/obfustication is used to protect internal network resources. We offer three general means of accessing network resources remotely:

  1. Dialup (via a modem)
  2. SSH with tunnels
  3. VPN

If a connection does not appear to be working properly, see our troubleshooting page.
