Bottom Pour Chill Casting Unit
This casting unit uses induction heat to melt metal alloys in a crucible. When the alloy is molten, a stopper rod is raised to allow the metal to pour into a water cooled copper mold.
- Molds are available in 1 and 2-inch diameters
- Maximum ingot length is 12 inches
- Vacuum or inert gas atmosphere
- MPC has a second chill casting unit which will cast ingots of 3, 4, and 5-inch diameters up to 17" in length
